2007: Played both softball and volleyball at Monroe College...Earned Most Improved Player Award in 2005 and 2006 for Volleyball...Was team MVP and Female Athlete of the Year for softball...Finished the 2007 season as the region's leader in strike outs...Recorded a career-high 10 strikeouts against Dutchess C.C. in 2007.

High School: Received varsity letters in softball...Named Pitcher of the Year in 2004...Was the team's Most Improved Player in 2005 and also led her team to its first ever birth in the Citywide Championship that same year.

Personal: Born June 27, 1987 in New York, N.Y...Daughter of Ernesto and Fatima Mata Garcia...Has two sisters and one brother...Major is Criminal Justice...Future plans include having a well paying job and a huge house.
